How does the Marin Pickleball League work?

Alyson and Teresa invite you to play!
Information on our REGULAR MONTHLY LEAGUE
Each player will submit a registration form and payment. It is $25.00 per player per month that you register to play. You may play in more than one division with a different partner in a given month - in that case, you must register for both divisions, and pay an additional $25.00 per person per division.
If you do NOT have a partner, but would like us to match you with one, please send in registration form and Venmo $25.00. We will work with you to find you a partner of the same level. We match many partners each month!
On the 1st of each month that you are registered, you will receive a roster with the names, phone numbers and emails of the players in your assigned division. Players are assigned to divisions based on playing level, not gender.
The flexible schedule allows you to schedule your matches with everyone in your division at a time that works best for all opponents. All MATCHES ARE TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 5 WEEKS FROM THE 1ST OF THE MONTH. We recommend using a scheduling platform (like OnceHub, which is free). Another suggestion is for one of the partners to reach out to the opponents (after you and your partner have created a GOOGLE SHEET with your availability) and ask them to choose from a date that works for them also.
Each game is played to 11 points, and you must win by 2 points. Please switch sides after each game. Best of 5 games wins the match.
If the Sun is a huge factor in the match, please switch sides when one team reaches the score of 6 points. Please decide this prior to playing, or at least ask your opponents at the beginning of the game that you wish to switch when one team gets to 6 points. The goal is to be fair to all opponents. Wind is not a factor in which to switch sides. Only the sun is a determinate because it is not going to change.
Winner's Prize-
For the divisions that complete all their matches, the winning partners with the most points are the winners of that division.
We have weekly round robins for different levels. We hope the winners can join us the following month at one of our round robins! FYI - there is not a specific winners round robin but we want you to be able to come to our weekly round robin and play with everyone! Please let us know if you do NOT receive our EVITES to these round robins so we may add you to the EVITES. We want to make sure you can RSVP for a round robin that best suits your schedule, so we may celebrate you!
PLEASE MAKE NOTE ON THE EVITE THAT YOU WILL BE USING YOUR WINNERS COMPLIMENTARY GIFT!
$15.00 VALUE!
